Eligibility
Who Qualifies for FreePhone?
FreePhone is available through the federal Lifeline Program, created to help make communication accessible for everyone. You may qualify for free monthly service if you participate in one or more government assistance programs or if your household income meets federal guidelines.
You may be eligible if you:
- Receive benefits from SNAP (Food Stamps), Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8), Veterans Pension, or Tribal Assistance Programs.
- Have a household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
- Live in the United States, including D.C. and U.S. Territories.
